Car Salesman • Problem Solver • Professional Instigator
Born and raised in New Jersey, Russ has called Arizona home since 2004. Before entering the automotive business, he took a seriously unconventional career path—working in the airline industry, teaching, managing computer technology, working as an assistant store manager, training college students, and even volunteering as a firefighter.
In October 2020, Russ bought a Kia Telluride. That same day, he was offered a job selling cars.
He figured, “Why not give it a try?”
That decision turned into a career. Russ has spent his entire automotive career at Tempe Kia, where he discovered that one of his favorite parts of the business is helping people. .

He enjoys meeting new people, tackling challenging situations, and thinking outside the box to help customers find a vehicle—even when the situation isn't easy.
Russ has worked alongside Rodney for his entire automotive career. The two have always been on the same team, and over the years their working relationship has turned into a genuine friendship. Russ describes Rodney as being “like a brother.”
After years of dealing with the stress and craziness of the car business, the two decided they needed a way to have a little more fun with it. That idea eventually became The Russ & Rodney Show.
Away From the Dealership

Rodney Husmann
Car Salesman • Comedian • Team Player
Rodney grew up in California near Los Angeles and has never exactly followed the traditional career path.
At just 19 years old, Rodney became a manager at Burger King, where he ultimately spent 23 years. From there, he moved into insurance sales for another 10 years before becoming a Schwan's driver.
And Rodney didn't just drive the truck—he sold.
He became the top salesperson in his depot and even won two sales contests in the same year.
Eventually, Rodney entered the automotive business, partly inspired by his father, who owned a small car lot. He quickly discovered that cars suited him. Rodney reached top-sales status in his third month
-

But for Rodney, selling cars isn't just about selling cars. His favorite part of the job is meeting people, helping them through the buying process, and making the experience as enjoyable as possible.
It was at Tempe Kia that Rodney met Russ. What started as coworkers working on the same team became a friendship that has lasted six years and counting.
Rodney says he brings two things to the Russ & Rodney Show:
Comedy and teamwork.
Away From the Dealership
When Rodney isn't selling cars or making Russ laugh—or possibly driving him crazy—he enjoys fantasy football and baseball. He's also got a competitive side. Long before the car business, Rodney was a cross-country runner who made varsity his freshman year.
Accomplishment
While managing Burger King, Rodney came up with the idea for the 99-cent Whopper when his store was struggling with sales. Sometimes the best ideas come from trying something different.
